1. Seating

The S.T.E.M. classroom seating must offer a range of movement, positions and functions. In a collaborative environment students will be standing, sitting on stools and moving around tables. 

2. Desk and tables

Project-based learning requires desks and tables capable of being arranged into compact pods that can fit 6-8 students comfortably. 

3. Storage

Most of the S.T.E.M projects will take place over multiple class periods or even multiple days. It is essential to have sufficient space in the classroom to safely leave or store in-progress projects. Educators will need mobile storage units for organizing project materials, various project tools and to house computers and  projectors for presentations.
